The Italian Military Archbishop visited the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum

Brunssum, The Netherlands – The Military Archbishop for Italy, Lieutenant General Santo Marcianò, visited Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS). 

Welcomed by the Commander, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, during the visit to the Brunssum Headquarters, Archbishop Marcianò received an introduction to the tasks and role of the HQ, within NATO. JFCBS’ area of responsibility extends through most of northern and central Europe, including the countries bordering the Baltic Sea. _nato4

During his welcome to the Military Archbishop, General Miglietta highlighted the importance of the task of developing plans for the defence of Allied territory and of the common values of freedom and democracy. He underlined how strongly the personnel serving at JFCBS feel the burden of this responsibility, dedicating their best energies to the achievement of the goal.
In response, the Archbishop thanked the JFCBS staff for their dedication and professionalism, in the service of a noble common cause. The Military Archbishop, also underlined how sharing experiences with colleagues from other nations strengthens consciences and the sense of belonging – not only to one's own country but also to a wider set of shared values.
