Brunssum, The Netherlands – RESOLUTE WARRIOR 2024, the primary exercise for NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia this year, is currently in full swing.
Commencing on November 1st and running through November 14th, the exercise brings together 3,500 soldiers training collaboratively in the regions of Vidzeme and Zemgale, Latvia.
Under the leadership of NATO's Multinational Division North, the exercise provides an opportunity to train the brigade's operational capabilities by effectively integrating all subordinate and support units. This event highlights the Brigade's proficiency in force projection, command and control, and communication, ensuring seamless integration among subordinate, enabling, and supporting units in alignment with higher command directives.
Exercise RESOLUTE WARRIOR 2024 marks the first significant field exercise for Multinational Brigade Latvia since its formation. The Brigade's commander emphasized that the exercise demonstrates their collective commitment to improving Latvia's security. He noted that each NATO member in the Multinational Brigade brings unique skills and experience, and that their cooperation has reached an unprecedented level. The key message from this exercise is clear: We Are Ready.
Established in July 2024, NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia represents a significant upgrade of NATO forces in the Baltic States. Currently, the brigade comprises contributions from 13 nations: Albania, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
