Brunssum, The Netherlands – On the 25th of January, Commander JFC Brunssum (JFCBS), General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta met H.E. Ambassador Selçuk Ünal at Turkish Embassy in the Hague.

During the visit, they discussed various topics including Türkiye’s contributions to JFCBS and NATO as whole. In this regard, General Miglietta underlined that how,

in addition to the role Türkiye has played in defending NATO's borders, today it is a significant contributor to NATO missions and operations, in line with the fundamental values of the Alliance.

H.E. Ambassador S. Ünal expressed his appreciation and thanks to General G.L. Miglietta, and added, “Türkiye keeps on contributing to NATO’s missions and operations in a comprehensive and active way. JFCBS is one of the important Headquarters across NATO with this solid contribution of Türkiye. Today, I have the privilege of hosting JFCBS Commander, General Miglietta at Turkish Embassy in the Hague.”

Speaking during the visit, General Miglietta added, “For the past two years as the Commander of JFC Brunssum, I have closely observed the professionalism displayed by Turkish Officers and NCOs. This professionalism combines with the unity and spirit of solidarity that constitute the bedrock of NATO. I greatly appreciate the contribution of Türkiye to both JFCBS HQ and to NATO in general.”
