Brunssum, The Netherlands – General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, Commander, Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum), hosted Major General Chang Joon EO (Republic of Korea), Chief Director Wartime Operational Control Transition Group, and accompanying delegation, for an official visit on 25
th June.
The Republic of Korea and NATO are committed to practical cooperation in order to uphold and strengthen the rules-based international order
The visit objective was to enhance military cooperation, discuss security challenges and strengthen the operational partnership between South Korea and NATO, reflecting South Korea's interest in contributing to global security and stability.

JFC Brunssum’s Deputy Chief of Staff (Plans), Major General Mark Pullan, welcomed the General and his delegation to the Brunssum Headquarters.
“It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to JFC Brunssum. Your country is a longstanding Partner of NATO. The Republic of Korea and NATO are committed to practical cooperation in order to uphold and strengthen the rules-based international order,” said General Pullan.
On completion of an office call with Commander JFC Brunssum, the visiting General received a series of briefings covering a wide range of topics including the history, role, responsibilities of JFC Brunssum, and current priorities.

General EO engaged in comprehensive discussions throughout the day focused on regional security, NATO's defence planning, operational readiness and the NATO Response Force’s imminent transition to the Allied Response Force, as well as Operational-level security challenges faced, on a daily basis, by a NATO Joint Force Command.
