BRUNSSUM, The Netherlands – On 26th February, Joint Force Command
Brunssum (JFCBS) received the visit of the General Manager of the NATO Support
and Procurement Agency (NSPA), Ms. Stacy Cummings.
Ms. Cummings was accompanied by the
Director of Support to Operations, Mr. Orhan Muratli, and other members of the
NSPA staff.
Your agency lays the foundation for our success by providing the logistical backbone for our missions.
Commander JFCBS, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, extended a warm welcome to his distinguished guests. They were provided with a series of in-depth briefings, focussing on the logistical challenges an operational NATO HQ has to face in a fast- changing security environment.

In his address, General Miglietta emphasised the vital importance of logistics for any military operation.
“Your agency lays the foundation for our success by providing the logistical backbone for our missions,” said General Miglietta. “Only through this support we are enabled to sustain military operations on a large scale over a longer period of time.”
The NATO Support and Procurement Agency is NATO’s main services provider, delivering a broad spectrum of integrated capabilities for the Alliance, its member nations and partners. The Agency brings together NATO’s logistics support and procurement activities, providing effective and cost-efficient multinational support solutions. NSPA is a customer-funded agency, operating on a "no profit - no loss" basis.
NSPA provides acquisition and logistics support to NATO, its Allies, partners and other international organisations. The Agency focuses mainly on support to NATO operations and exercises, life-cycle management of weapons systems, and management and coordination of the Central Europe Pipeline System.

It also manages the life-cycle management of three Boeing Globemaster III C-17 aircraft in support of the Heavy Airlift Wing as part of the strategic airlift capability, an initiative aimed at giving NATO member nations as well as partners access to strategic airlift.
Headquartered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with main operational centres in France, Hungary and Italy and an outstation in Kosovo, NSPA employs around 1,550 staff and oversees over 2,500 contractors in NATO’s missions across the world.
