The event was attended by a diverse array of over 40 exhibitors from both industry and NATO Innovation Partners, each bringing unique insights and cutting-edge technologies to the table. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as representatives from various sectors gathered to exchange ideas and showcase advancements that could redefine future military operations.
“It's very important for us, not only in terms of the long term procurement and development of capabilities, but far more for the acceleration of technology adoption and integration into our war fighting system,” said Chief of Staff SHAPE, General Markus Laubenthal, speaking as the distinguished guest at WIDE. He reminded the gathered audience of the collective responsibility to drive forward-thinking solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
Throughout the event, over 750 attendees were treated to a series of demonstrations and discussions, highlighting the latest technological advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, unmanned systems, and more. These presentations highlighted the importance of continuous innovation in maintaining a strategic edge in a global security environment. General Gugliemo Luigi Miglietta, Commander of JFCBS, emphasized the significance of innovation in military operations.

“Today, we are not merely showcasing current and emerging technologies; we are creating a vital connection between our operators and industry, academia, and our NATO partners to shine a light on the challenges we face, in an ever-evolving security landscape, and potential solutions,” said General Miglietta.
General Miglietta's words reinforced the vital role that innovation plays in overcoming the complex challenges faced by NATO forces.

"We have the responsibility to shape the change by turning challenges into opportunities. We must execute our mission to the best of our ability and maximize our contribution to the peace development and conflict prevention throughout Joint Force Command Brunssum Area of Responsibility."
WIDE25 was designed to be more than just an exhibition; it was a hub for fostering collaboration and sparking dialogue between military, civilian, and industry stakeholders. By creating a platform where ideas could be freely exchanged, the event aimed to accelerate the development and implementation of innovative solutions tailored to NATO's operational needs.
