Current mitigation measures against COVID-19

HQ JFCBS has implemented a comprehensive set of protective and preventative measures designed to limit the transmission of COVID-19 and mitigate the impact of the global pandemic. These measures have effectively protected the force and the JFCBS Mission. The low number of reported COVID-19 cases in the HQs is testament to our collective efforts and disciplined approach in sustaining and complying with all of the protective measures.

Our aim is twofold: To ensure our readiness and our ability to continue providing reliable deterrence and defence for the Euro-Atlantic Alliance, but also to protect our staff members, their family members and our community.

Therefore, we still need to observe some simple rules. The high vaccination rate amongst JFC Brunssum personnel has increased the protection and resiliency of our headquarters. This is making a more nuanced approach to mitigation measures possible. Nevertheless, we still need to be careful and vigilant.

Wearing masks is an easy and proven way to protect against COVID-19. Washing hands frequently is an effective way to stop the spread of germs, viruses and bacteria. Keeping a distance of 1,5m between two persons can also help to stop the spread of COVID-19. If you can and have not done so, get a COVID-19 vaccine. They protect you from getting sick.

We are at the last mile before the finish line!

Dutch COVID-19 preventive measures will be considered the minimum baseline standard for JFCBS (please see www.government.nl for more details);

In addition:

· ALL STAFF and VISITORS must wear a MASK, whenever the minimum physical distance of 1.5m is not possible;

· a 1.5m MINIMUM DISTANCE between personnel is required in ALL JFCBS OFFICE BUILDINGS;

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS will be utilised, all personnel, before entering HQ JFCBS office buildings, are requested to satisfy one of the following 3 requirements: Fully vaccinated against COVID-19; Recovered from COVID-19; Negative COVID-19 test (PCR or Antigen) not older than 72 hours (2x week).
